Student & Counseling Services: Many students experience personal and/or emotional struggles while trying to balance school and life. Student Services is available to consult with you regarding issues that impact your learning at Hunter. Counseling Services (CS) is available to consult with you regarding various personal and emotional health issues that may affect you or someone you know. Writing Center: Students come to college with different writing backgrounds. The Writing Center at Hunter provides support services to enhance your writing in the classroom and practice. You may request one-on-one tutoring or be referred to the program by a faculty member. The program’s staff will work with you to address your individual writing needs. AccessABILITY: If you are a student with a disability, or think you may have a disability (including a temporary disability), you can contact the Office of AccessABILITY at Hunter via phone at 212-772-4857 or email at accessab@hunter.cuny.edu (they have a physical location in Hunter’s East Building, Room 1214B). The Office of AccessABILITY works with students with disabilities and faculty members to identify reasonable accommodations. A reasonable accommodation is a change in the course environment or procedures that will allow students with disabilities to enjoy equal access to the course. There are other services (such as assistive technology) that are available to you as a student to make your educational experience more accessible.
